Backyard: 1st Try Edition

Very simple terrace.

Oh and you can also see the newer fence that J did, so now we have a bigger back yard!

But because it looks unfinished and some other details...we redo it...yep.

A special thank you to all those who helped!

backyard: 2008 edition

So to divert our usual subject, we would now like to present to you our outside work in progress...this is the beginning phase of the back yard From April 2008.
these stepping stones, and iris' are now gone...the fence too (we took out this side to make a bigger fenced in back yard...stay tuned for pictures!)

The Mr. diligently working away....

Mr. still working....and oh look the star of the show does make her appearance. Oh well, and besides I am sure all of you readers out there did not think I was capable of doing such a thing.

At least we are putting her to work...see! The spot she is digging is where the deluxe swimming pool was kept pre-dilu fam residency. (if you squint real hard, you can see this was also when we still had the poo pot! Another wonderful surprise left for us...lucky for us, we had a friend in need of just the thing! -White little handle in the right corner of the hill -right next to the corner post-)

And because these people knew how to live the good life, here is where the hot tub resided.

So there you have it-this is pre sprinkler, pre level grass area, pre terrace, pre fence expansion and yes, J digs out the yard manually with some of my help of course...and a little of p's too!
Stay tuned for the next edition!

lovely locks-baby girl's first haircut

Exhibit A:
November 10th 2006 - A super duper cute baby is born, dawning a beautiful head of dark hair. Just like her daddy.

Exhibit B:
June 5th 2010-A super duper cute kid has grown that dark hair into lovely golden brown locks.

With a little bit of curls. (When she was one- we were asked if we curled it.)

Exhibit C:
June 5th 2010- We bundle that beautiful hair down at the crimp and curl....

marking this day as her first haircut
(although moma did take a snippet way back when she was just a wee one. )

usually this little girl has quite a lot to say, but today she was quiet.

Earlier we discussed her options, and where her hair would go...she just requested that it be a princess haircut. So we decided lunch on the town and picking out new hair clippies (princess ones of course) would suffice.

We warned her stylist that although her hair did not look thick, it in fact was...like duck...you can try to get it all wet...but it is hard to get all the fluff underneath.

Exhibit D:
Bangs! Notice how her hair still naturally parts.
Still quiet. She was a little nervous when the scissors where close to her face...and she often was turning her head in the wrong direction, but overall she was the perfect subject.

Exhibit E:
Finished!

Exhibit F:
Standing with her lovely locks.

One happy girl, ready to send off her lovely locks to help make a wig for a deserving kid.

She loves her new do...she has been letting EVERYONE know that she received a haircut. Daddy is happy he will spend less time styling and washing hair. Moma will miss all the styling and up-dos.

Happy 30 Years of Living! ~A tribute to Him we call Daddy and Jman~

there might be a little of this ^

and some of this^

and because Daddy is hard worker...he will be doing a little of this. Of course P will want to spend some time with him and help.

We enjoyed Breakfast out...together...

tokens of our love will be given and calls have been coming in...because we love him.

J-I am very thankful and blessed to have known you half your life- I am looking forward to many more old man birthdays;) ! Thank you for all you are and all you do...I am so very proud. I love you Jman.... a ton...a lot...forever!

Daddy- I adore you and today (like many times we go out and eat) I loved to sitting next to you at breakfast. I most certainly love spending time with you outside. It takes me a bit every evening to calm my excitement of you being home. I am your shadow. And always remember how much I love it when you come find me (hidden of course) at bedtime -armed with water, kisses and hugs (and it is a must that it always happens after moma has said her goodnights). I love you and Happy Birthday!
P.S. thank you for always using your manners, good job!

God is in the House!

22.sept.2009
26.Dec.2009
So today is Tuesday and already I am feeling the pressures of a busy week. With the busy-ness comes an great deal of guilt and an unfinished Bible Study. In other words, not very much time with God. Well, today I have been trying to stick to my to do list, in the hopes of scheduling in God and making Him a priority. Among the to dos, was weeding some sneaky flowering pests. Now most of you must know that any kid, especially P loves the idea of an outdoor adventure and I foresaw no change of plans in this wifey do chore. However I smile and am in awe once again in this amazing God of ours! I grab my stuff, send a few notes of importance to the Mr. via text , and then walk past P lounging on the couch among all today's special things.

M: "You ready to go outside!?!!!"
P:"Just a minute, I am talking to God." (continues to chat away)

Wow, chills. Smile and a little teary. What can I not learn from this situation? Thanks God, for reminding me today...through your 3 year old child...that even something as fun as an outdoor trip....can wait...and you are right here, right now...always here...at my side...talking(chillin as p would say) with P on the couch...thank you for this today... thank you for shinning through this little girl...thank you.
Well, after a bit- I told P that God could come with us...and we could continue the conversation outside. And we did.

ON a side note-since I have not posted in awhile...I have quite a few pictures to post...so I am working on that this coming week (s)! Loves and blessings to you all!
